Comment policy

At DressYourLife.org/LiturgicalDress.com, we believe diverse viewpoints enhance conversation and can bring people together in friendship.  This blog is authored from the perspective of the Catholic Christian community.  If you post a comment, please respect that perspective and context; we promise to respect your viewpoints and opinions.  To maintain an environment where we can get to know each other better and foster learning, please adhere to the following comment policy:
  1. Conversation is science and art; when done well, it can bring us to a deeper understanding of truth and of each other.  Science provides the blueprint for good conversation:  listening, logic, and respect; art fills it in with word choice, sentence structure, and touching stories.  Respect of both the science and the art fosters good conversation.  We may delete fallacious (disregarding rules of logic) or obscene (disregarding rules of the art of conversation) comments.

  2. The DNA of this blog is Christian, and all are welcome.  Questions and inquiry into why we practice and worship as we do are encouraged.  We'll do our best to respond to questions coming from genuine curiosity, but questions posted as attacks or in malice against the blog topics or Catholic Christianity will be deleted.

  3. Please respect the current conversation.  Trolling comments to force your opinion or inappropriately change direction will be deleted.  Think of the comment section as an invitation to a table among friends; it's more forum than soapbox.  If your comments aren't part of the conversation, we may delete them.

  4. The comment section isn't to market products or promote unrelated sites.  Links and references that further the conversation are encouraged, but those that don't may be deleted.

  5. We may delete a comment containing sensitive, malicious, or unsubstantiated information about an individual, organization, or community.

  6. Posts threatening physical, psychological, or emotional harm to an individual, organization, or community will be screen-captured, then deleted.  We may also report them to appropriate authorities.

  7. Tolerance doesn't mean we have to agree, but it does mean we respect each other's freedom (to the extent that our individual freedoms don't interfere with each other or society).  We may delete anything we deem intolerant or disrespectful.

  8. We want to improve this blog and so value your constructive and civil feedback.

  9. Have fun!  We look forward to getting to know you and to hear your perspectives.
