Readings- Jon 3:1-10 Lord to Jonah: "Announce to Nineveh: '40 days and you'll be destroyed.'" Ninevites believed God, fasted; king proclaimed fast, repentance. God relented.
- Ps 130:1b-4ab, 7-8 "If you, O Lord, mark iniquities, who can stand?" "Hear me, forgiving Lord!" Wait for Lord's kindness, redemption.
- Lk 10:38-42 Martha welcomed, served Jesus; sister Mary listened to him. Martha: “Lord, tell Mary to help me." Lord: “You're worried about many things; only one is needed. Mary has chosen better."
