Always honor the Eucharist, a sacrament of love, sign of unity, and bond of charity. Be nourished by it to be united among yourselves and cooperate in building the Church and world. I encourage you to visit the Blessed Sacrament of Christ's love and mercy, daily if possible, especially amid difficulties, to speak with him, listen to him, and entrust yourself to him.Read
- Hos 11:1-4, 8e-9 When Israel was a child I loved him, but the more I called them, the farther they went from me. My pity is stirred, so I won't vent my anger, for I am God not man. I won't let the flames consume you.
- Ps 80:2ac, 3b,15-16 "Let us see your face, Lord, and we shall be saved." Rouse your power. Take care of this vine, and protect what you planted.
- Mt 10:7-15 “As you go, proclaim: ‘The Kingdom is at hand.’ Cure the sick... Without cost you've received; without cost give. Travel light. When you enter a house, wish it peace. If you're not received or heard, leave and shake the dust from your feet; it won't be easy for them on judgment day.
- Creighton: Jesus invited the 12 to serve, heal and proclaim God’s word while living simply and depending on others' hospitality. "Don't be concerned about the fruit of what you do; be generous in throwing the seed with open hands, and don't get discouraged when fertile soil seems scarce" (Paul Molinari, SJ) Jesus sent his Apostles by sowing seeds of simplicity and encouragement. May the gardens of our lives flourish and may we continue to grow as we open ourselves to God’s love.
- One Bread, One Body: "The ecology of mission": Baptism makes us missionaries. Our missions are of healing, miracles, and deliverance, connected with proclaiming God's kingdom. We need to choose poverty and bless homes; world evangelization is home-based. We must shake off the dust of rejection, unforgiveness, resentment, discouragement, and bitterness. All Christians, that is, all missionaries, need to be spiritual environmentalists and ecologists. Let us totally give our lives to God. Let us do the whole thing God's way, and our missions will be accomplished.

- DailyScripture.net: "Freely have you received; freely give": Jesus commissioned his disciples to speak in his name and act with his power, bringing healing and mercy to the weary and oppressed. The Lord will free us from anything that keeps us from loving him and others. We must share what we've received from Jesus without expecting a reward. We must serve full of charity, peace, and simplicity, not diverted by other things. To focus on the task, we must leave behind whatever would distract us. The Lord wants us to be dependent on him....
